It's not located in Palawan!
When I texted my mom that I was in Puerto Galera she asked me why in the world did I fly all the way to Palawan? She then went ahead in lecturing me about the importance of saving for my future and whatnots over spending leisure like going to places like Galera.
My mom thought that I spent 10k for my trip to Puerto Galera. Yeah, she can be right if that's located in Palawan. Hahaha...But no. I just spent like 2k for that trip. Somehow affordable yet memorable. Worth it!
My mom and the Puerto Galera conception reminded me of a debate I had with a friend way bafore I came here in Manila. It was about where PUerto Galera was actually located. I was so sure then about my thought that Puerto Galera is really located in Palawan. My classmate was already fiery and on his wits end trying to convince me that it's located somewhere else.
And I was ashamed to realize that my friend, who with all humility accepted my contention to make life easier for him, was right.

Puerto Galera is located at the far east corner of Mindoro. With its white beaches, palatable food and really warm people, one could not afford to think about going back home. The country-side experience, morning breeze, sea tide and the whole relaxing feeling would hinder you from feeling so heavy and tired. It's a very good venue for relaxation, weekend spree and making friends with the other bakasyonistas indeed.
I went there with my colleagues. We were so stressed the past days from all our emotional churvas in life and so we decided to go there, relax, forget about our probs and enjoy our moment with each other. I really had fun especially that it's my first time to be in a beautiful beach like Puerto Galera. The first time that I was able to party in the beach. Davao beaches don't have a party and party people like that in Puerto Galera.
Food was great. Though they serve a meal that cost us like a hundred pesos but it's worth the price. You can feel that the food is keenly cooked and that the ingredients that they used were really fresh. What we ate there was a real food. NOt a synthetic or artificial one that I usually eat here in Manila. I didn't care about my diet and my gym. All I was thinking was satisfying my mouth and my tummy with the fresh and really palatable food served beside the sea. What fun would I have if I wasn't with my friends. Of course, they made my stay there more memorable. we laughed about anything and discussed about everything while soaking outselves in the cold, crystal clear, bottle-and-candy-wrapper-and-human-manure free sea water.
Aside from swimming on the beach, you can also brace
yourselves with the exciting Banana Boat Riding. You will be amazed as well with the beauty of the underwater through Snorkeling. If you don't feel like doing those, you can go Island Hopping. After going through strenuous activities, you can pamper yourself with THE Manangs' massage ang braiding services. To feel a real beach experience is not so complete without a temporary tattoo that will help you look sexier with your two piece bathing suit or board shorts. You can have a henna tattoo for as low as a hundred, depending on the style that you want. That and a lot more.
